The Lighting of Two Lanterns  (Special Event)
5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Come join the St. Charles County Historical Society (101 S. Main, St. Charles) on April 18, 2025 at 5-6:30pm for its kickoff event of the America 250 Commemoration. 
 
We will join historic sites and state houses across the nation in lighting two lights to commemorate the 250th anniversary of “two if by sea” and Paul Revere’s midnight ride which took place April 18, 1775. After the lantern lighting and a public reading of the famous poem “Paul Revere’s Ride” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, we will enjoy light refreshments of patriotic treats and drinks together!
