St. Charles County Historical Society Combines with St. Charles Genealogical Society The St. Charles County Genealogical Society and The St. Charles County Historical Society have agreed to merge into one organization, effective May 1, 2009. The Genealogoical society's library at 1022 First Capital Drive, will be closed and the Historical Society archives will provide research facilities for the combined holdings. This will result in the most complete collection of St. Charles County genealogical records ever assembled. Posted- 2/25/09 |

St. Charles County Will Observe Bicentenial The City of St. Charles will observe the bicentenial of its incorporation as a town on Oct. 13, 2009. Many of the city's early records and photos are available for research at our archives. In 1909 the city had 5 days of events celebrating the incorporation.
